As I had mentioned before, I'm looking to put more feminine "casual" into my wardrobe. But I decided to challenge myself by keeping it to US(and UK...and Korean based I guess?) stores for that sweet, sweet free shipping.
The first pieces are from a store I've never bought from before called Storets. They are a shop that sells Korean based clothing, accessories, and makeup. A lot of their clothing has a really Larme vibe to them which I love.
It was very hard to pick from the selection of tops that they had as they were all so cute. The blouse with the layered sleeves is to die for and I cannot wait to put that on my body and never take it off. that cardigan was too cute to pass up and reminded me of some Le Reve Vaniller had for colder weather.
I am embracing longer, flow-y pieces and that dress immediately caught my eye. I got another belt to wear with it to have a bit of variety so it can but cutesy or just kind of elegant. That tweed dress was giving me Coco Chanel vibes so I picked it up, it's too cute! The rose top and skirt set is 100% my speed, and they'll be pretty versatile on their own so that's a plus. The sweats set isn't usually something I'm into but while I was poking around their site I got a very specific outfit idea and I had to roll with it.
With white socks that just really seems like it could be an ADORABLE look.
An assortment of jewelry as interestingly enough outside of lolita I kind of neglect. In retrospect there are a lot of pearls, like, a lot of them... but I suppose it's not a bad thing. I'm really liking the hair clip trends that are happening, as well as the cute sheer sock trend.
Some pictures from Larme for comparison and just because the looks are precious.
I was pleased to find a 25% off coupon from Kate Spade in my emails and I don't say no to good deals so I picked up a few things.
I've needed more comfy shoes so I got a couple of shoes from the Kate Spade x Keds collab. Those pumps were calling my name though because that heel is fantastic.
I picked up a few pieces from Morning Lavender (gosh I just love that name) I had been eyeing their signature romantic girly style for a bit but had never gotten around to picking anything up.
Being short during this time of maxi this and maxi that it's nice to find that SOMETHING comes in petite sizing and is exactly what I'm looking for. I also usually hate the color lavender on myself, but somehow the lavender color of that midi dress was the prettiest to me.
I got a single, solitary piece from Chi Chi London! I'd never previously heard of this brand and I'm insulted no one told me about it before. I'll definitely be picking up more things from them at a later date.
Anyway, onto this super cute skirt! In one of the previous coordinate collages I made I used a Ted Baker skirt that is very similar. I was able to sort of get the look for less, much less... which is a win situation all around. *cue hulk meme*
I think I'll be wearing this for our anniversary next month! Well, if the July heat lets me go out at all that is.
Speaking of recreating some of those coordinates, when I was writing that post I got some of the pieces I had used. They were all so cute and versatile I wanted to get a few.
Last but not least I picked up some new makeup! I threw out a lot of old, expired makeup and wanted to freshen up my collection. I had always loved how Jill Stuart's makeup looked from the packaging to the colors so I was elated when they launched their US site. Before I toyed with buying it from Japan but a lot of shades sell out quickly, especially if they're limited edition. In addition to just wanting to try it after all this time, I noticed they did not shy away from using other dark skin girls to promote their products. While I'm no stranger to being excluded, it was exciting to see them embrace that right off the bat.
In the end all of this ended up making up a pretty nice capsule wardrobe of sorts. Once I clean out my closet a bit and donate some things it'll feel even nicer.
